Canterbury Triathlon Postponed until October, Swimming achievements

The Canterbury Primary Schools' triathlon at Pegasus, which was due to be held on 11 March has been postponed until Wednesday 28 October 2015.  Entries will close on Monday 19 October.

The algae in the lake has increased since last week and the likelihood of it clearing before then is minimal.
This is because the springs which run water through the lake are dry and we would have to have a considerable amount of rain within the next 2 weeks to clear the algae.  It is also most unlikely that there would have enough rain to do this.

The School held their Senior Swimming sports at Dudley Aquatic Centre Yesterday. We were so impressed with the improvement in the swimming skills overall and really think the Mainpower Trust Sponsored Swimming programme has made a  significant difference in the confidence and skills of our students. So please if you are a biker get a team together and support at the Rakahuri Rage this weekend as it is the major fundraiser for the Trust.

We are sending a team of 23 to the Rakahuri Swimming Sports on Monday swimming in all but 4 of the events. (time qualification)
The House relay races were noisy, hotly contested events as they should be.

Tomorrow concludes our Triathlon season (until October) with the House Team Tri occurring at 2.30pm.
